Happy Summer Everyone!

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far! Mine has definitely been busy, but it hasn't lacked in fun! 

I went on a road trip adventure with my friends, went on a sisterhood retreat with my music fraternity, had my 22nd birthday, worked lots (& even got a promotion!), and had a great 4th of July! 

Classes are gonna start back for the school districts in a few weeks which will give me a couple weeks before college classes start back up to do some last minute shopping without rushes! My cousin is joining me at KSU this semester & I'm super excited to show him around and get him to fall in love with the school like I have. 

I'm also gonna try to post weekly (I know I said that before, serious this time!) so if you have requests of posts you'd like to see, comment below! Tomorrow when I get home from work I'm gonna try to do a What's in my Purse with my Kavu bag I got for my birthday so I'll film the video and make the blog post and hopefully have that up by the weekend! I'll also be doing a What's in my Backpack for back to school and maybe a Back to School haul as well. I'm gonna try to get back into doing monthly favorite videos/posts too so be on the lookout for those as well as a possible OOTW for the first week of classes!

Hi everyone!

As I type this, it's 11:10pm here in Georgia, but I thought I would update on how life has been.

CRAZY.

I changed my major from Forensic Chemistry to Criminal Justice this semester, quit my Charming Charlie job and got hired at Gymboree, joined a music fraternity (sorority), Sigma Alpha Iota, went to Florida to visit family for Spring Break, and now it's getting close to finals! 

I will try to put content on here weekly if I can, I need to brainstorm some ideas of some posts!

Thanksgiving Break!

Hello everyone! 

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, school and work has kept me REALLY busy! This week is my Thanksgiving break from school and I am so glad that break is here! I still have schoolwork to do, but it's nice to just be able to chill for the most part for a few days. 

Tuesday night I'm going to see Moana with my friend Christina and I'm super stoked! I am soooo excited to see this movie! 

Thursday is Thanksgiving and my dad's niece and her family are coming down from Chicago for the weekend! I, of course, will be working Thanksgiving night (retail probs) but I have an amazing group of co-workers I will be with so I am super stoked. 

Next week when I come back from break will be the last week before finals so I will definitely be too busy to do any updates until after I finish my finals! 

I'll also try to do a Black Friday haul of whatever I can get this weekend in between working! 

I'm going to head to bed so I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a very happy Thanksgiving! 

****AND PLEASE REMEMBER: If you go shopping on Thanksgiving night for Black Friday deals, please don't be condescending to the workers by saying "poor you, having to work on Thanksgiving." You deciding to come out shopping and be away from YOUR family is part of the problem. I would love to be at home watching football with my dad, but because businesses want to make more money, I have to be at work on a holiday. So please be respectful of the retail workers you encounter and do not try and fight. The customer may always "be right," but sometimes you have to accept that you are, in fact, wrong. The workers know what is on sale, what's not, if you can use coupons, if coupons are expired, etc. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS.****

Day in the Life: Tuesday

Afternoon everyone! I didn't bring my laptop with me to campus today so I'm currently typing this post on my phone! (and yes, making everything bold/italicized was A PAIN) I've got a while before my next class so I figured it was the perfect time to do my FINAL Day in the Life post! If you've got any ideas of things I should do after I finish this series, lemme know! So, without further ado, here is my Tuesday! 

Tuesday: 

• 8am: Wake up
• 8:30am: Start getting ready for class
• 9am: Leave for class
• 9:30-10:45am: World History class
• 10:35am: Got out of class a little early so I went ahead to the Commons (the dining hall on campus) to get a table for me & my Big! 
• 12:45pm: My Big & I left the Commons and headed to the library to do some work before she has to go to her class at 2pm!
• 1:45pm: Leave the library with my big (she has class at 2 and I'm gonna go hang out near the choir room until 3:30!
• 3:30-4:45pm: Women's Choir! 
• 4:50pm: Leave the Bailey Center and head to the Student Center to get some dinner before my first OChem lab! (Normally I would leave campus now but my lab starts today so I'll be on campus later on Tuesdays!) 
• 5:45pm: Head to the Science lab building (of which I've never been in before!) to change into jeans and tennis shoes and find my lab class!
• 6:30-9:15pm: The timeslot for my lab (labs don't normally take the whole time and our first lab is pretty short so it shouldn't take too long) 
• Approx. 8-8:30pm: I estimate being done with my lab around this time (it varies depending on the lab you're working on!) and heading home! 
• 8:45-9pm: Probably around the time I'll be home from my lab! I'll do a bit of school work and maybe watch some YouTube before going to bed! 
• 11:30pm-12am: Go to bed!

Day in the Life: Monday

Good evening again everyone! I would've had today's post uploaded sooner but today was a very busy day as you'll see from my schedule! So, here is Monday's "Day in the Life!" 

Monday:

• 10am: Wake up
• 10:25-10:30am: Shower
• 11:45am: Dry my hair 
• 12pm: Start getting ready for class
• 12:20pm: Eat a bag of Little Bites muffins for breakfast
• 12:30pm: Leave for class!
• 1-1:50pm: Biostat class
• 2-3:15pm: Today I went to an SI (supplemental instructor) session for my Organic Chemistry class to help me for a quiz I had in my class tonight!
• 3:15pm: Walk across campus for my next class!
• 3:30-4:45pm: Eat a bag of Little Bites muffins and take notes in Anthropology!
• 5pm: Get dinner in the student center (I ended up getting a wrap from the Mediterranean place and a chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A because I was still hungry!)
• 6pm: Walk over to my class and get a bit of studying in for my quiz
• 6:30-7:45pm: Organic Chemistry class!
• 7:55pm: Leave campus and go home
• 8:15pm: Get home and change into comfy clothes!
• 8:45pm: Eat dinner mom had made (I can eat literally all day long if I had the chance haha)
• 9:15pm: Do a bit of school work, watch some YouTube vlogs I missed, and write my blog post!
• 11:30pm-12am: Go to bed! 

There is Monday for ya! Very busy day for me that felt like it went by slowly! My professor is gonna post the answers for our quiz tonight so I will update you guys tomorrow on how I did! (because I was nervous about it!)

Day in the Life: Sunday

Good evening everyone! Here is Sunday's Day in the Life! 

Sunday: 

• 9:30am: Wake up
• 10am: Get ready for work
• 10:30am: Leave for work
• 10:35am: Pick up breakfast before work
• 11-4pm: Work my shift at Charming Charlie
• 6:30pm: Make dinner
• 8pm: Study for OChem quiz tomorrow and turn back and forth to the VMA's and the ID channel
• 11:30pm-12am: Go to sleep so I can be rested for classes tomorrow! 

There's my Sunday! It's pretty boring but it's another day that I can actually get some school work done! Hope you guys have enjoyed this little series so far, only 2 more days to go! Hope you all have a lovely night!

Day in the Life: Saturday

Hi everyone! Sorry this post is pretty late, (at least it's not tomorrow already!) but you'll see why in my schedule from today! My schedule is a little different today from normal since my work needed me to come in early, but my Saturday schedule is about the same every week! So, here you go! 

Saturday: 

• 10:15-10:30am: Normally about the time I wake up on Saturday, I don't set an alarm!
• 11am: Start working on homework/school work that needs to be done (normally Biostat quizzes and World History discussion questions)
• 11:45am: Breakfast/lunch time! 
• 12pm: Hang out a bit before getting ready for work
• 1pm: Start getting ready for work
• 1:30pm: Leave for work
• 2-9:30pm: My shift for today! (normally I work 4-9:30 but we were short someone today!)
• 9:15-9:30pm: Sometimes we get out a little early so I either head to get food or head home to make dinner
• 9:45pm: Eat/make dinner
• 11:30pm-12am: I usually go to bed the same time frame every night! 

There you go! Tomorrow's is going to be a little different from what it was going to be. I was supposed to work 9-2pm tomorrow but they changed it to 11-4pm since we are starting to open back at our normal time (summer hours are over) and we had a change in opening manager! So, I will try and get my Sunday post done before I head to work, but if not, it will be up tomorrow night! 

I've got some studying to do so I will talk to you guys tomorrow!

Day in the Life: Thursday

Well, I'm a little late on this (seeing as it's now Friday...) but here is Thursday's edition of my Day in the Life mini-series! Because of my school schedule, I work Thursday-Sunday so today is going to involve my work schedule as well! 

Thursday

• 8am: Wake up and get ready for class (this usually involves eating a bag of Little Bites muffins or a Pop-Tart as breakfast)
• 8:45-9am: Leave for World History
• 9:30-10:45am: World History class
• 10:45am: Leave campus and go back home for a few hours between classes
• 12pm: Usually make lunch and get ready for Choir/work
• 2:45-3pm: Leave to go to Women's Choir
• 3:30-4:45pm: Women's choir with my favorite people!
• 4:45pm: Leave campus and head straight to work
• 5:30pm: Start my shift at Charming Charlie 
• 9:15-9:30pm: Get off work (sometimes I stop for food on the way home, sometimes I just make food when I get home)
• 9:45pm: Usually eat/make dinner
• 11:30pm-12am: Bed time! Have to be up at 10am to shower before my class!

Day in the Life: Wednesdays at college

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! I've got about 30 minutes before my next class so I figured I would start a little "Day in the Life" series here on my blog! I should probably start with Monday, but we're gonna start with Wednesday! This will go on until next Tuesday seeing as I'll have already done Wednesday! Welcome to the life of a very busy Chemistry major! So, without further ado: here we go! 

Wednesdays:

• 10am: Wake up
• 10:30am: Shower
• 12-12:30pm: Leave for class
• 1-1:50pm: Biostatistics class
• 2pm: Usually eat lunch in the student center on campus and then head to either the Library to hang out for a bit or on to the building I have class in with maybe a quick Starbucks run! My options for lunch are Burrito Bowl (burritos, rice bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and Freshens smoothies!), Chick-Fil-A, or Zaya Mediterranean Grill! (We also have a sushi place but I don't like sushi!)
• 3:30-4:45pm: Introduction to Anthropology class
• 5pm: Usually eat dinner at the dining hall on campus, The Commons, before my last class of the day!
• 6:30-7:45pm: My final (and hardest) class of the day, Organic Chemistry!
• 8pm: Usually home and working on homework or eating another dinner if I didn't eat a lot beforehand or if mom made dinner! (I can eat all day long really, haha!)
• 9pm: Finishing up homework or just hanging out on my computer watching vloggers on YouTube or probably watching a documentary on Netflix (cause I'm a nerd).
• 11:30pm-12am: Usually about when I go to sleep so I can be rested for Thursday morning class! 

And there you have it, a Day in the Life: Wednesday!

LONG TIME NO TALK

OMG, It has been over a YEAR since my last blog post! That's crazy! 

Granted, my life hasn't really been anything to blog about and I haven't had time between school, work, and sorority to sit down and review anything or do a favorites post or anything, but I'm going to try and do at least 1 post a month for the rest of the year!

My classes are getting harder going into my fourth year of college, so hopefully I can find some time to sit down and write a blog post!

Hopefully I can do a post next month about my sorority's recruitment and being on the outside of all the planning (I'm LOA this semester to not stress me out with my course load) and tell you all about the awesome new girls we'll be gaining!

First day of Junior year of college!

Hello everyone! Today was my first day of my junior year at Kennesaw State and I had a pretty amazing day! I only had two classes today (8am and 9:30am) so I was done at about 10:30 since our professor let us out early! 

I had my Police in America class for my Criminal Justice minor and my Communications class which is a Gen Ed class. I love my professor for my P.I.A class because I've had him for two other classes and he's absolutely amazing. I also love my professor for my Comm class because she's hilarious and plays music before class! 

I'm super excited for tomorrow; I've got Biology, History since 1877, and Chorale! Then, my Bio lab starts next Wednesday and I'll have that every Wednesday until the end of the semester. 

So far, I've got my friend Meredith in 3 of my classes, my sorority sister Virginia in my history class, and my Big in my Biology class!

I've also got a busy semester with my sorority full of sisterhood, service projects, and tons of new activities with the new pledges we'll be getting this semester! I can't wait for my little to get her own little and experience all the fun that is Big/Little week and Reveal! 

I'll try and update as the semester goes on but, unfortunately, I can't make any promises!

UPDATE + MY 20TH BIRTHDAY!

Hey everyone! I know I have been super MIA, but honestly, I haven't really thought of anything to blog about! So, I figured I'd just give you a little update on what I've been doing and also a little tidbit about my birthday tomorrow!

I've mainly been working, watching Netflix, watching YouTube vloggers, and going to orientation at my college to introduce freshmen and transfer students to Omega Phi Alpha! 

And tomorrow, June 24th, is my 20th birthday! My day is gonna be pretty fun, I'm gonna have french toast for breakfast, go to orientation at my college and tell a bunch of girls about Omega Phi Alpha, then go get lunch and see Inside Out with one of my best friends, then come home and have dinner with my family! 

Saturday I'm having a party with some of my friends and I'm having a taco bar! I might make a post all about it and I'm planning on doing a June haul since I've gotten a lot of stuff so far, and I'm gonna include my birthday presents as well! 

Hope you guys are still sticking around with me and I might update you tomorrow about my birthday or maybe on Sunday after my party!

College is hard.

"I'MMMM GONNA SWINGGGGG FROM THE CHANDELIERRRR, FROM THE CHANDELIERRRRRR!

I should totally be studying for a Calculus test I have tomorrow. But what am I doing instead? Typing this blog post and listening to Chandelier by Sia on iTunes radio on my phone and also texting my friend Kelly.

"Why aren't you studying?" You may ask.

It's simple: I. Hate. Calculus. Yeah I know, it's my last test before my final and I'm not doing very well in Calc and I should definitely be trying to save my grade. But college is hard. And calculus is hard. And I'm like the worst procrastinator ever. So, I'll study in the morning before my test and hopefully do not completely horrible on my test.

So yeah, I'm gonna probably go to sleep soon and wake up and try to cram a bunch of Calculus knowledge into my head before my test at 11.

I BOUGHT AN ENO! Review and pics!

Hey everyone! So, if you know anyone who's outdoorsy or if you go to college, you've most likely seen an Eno around. Enos are nylon hammocks that you can hang from pretty much anywhere! Some of my sorority sisters have them and I love them, so I bought one for myself! 

There are different kinds of Eno's you can buy. There's the Singlenest, which is 9'4" long and 4'7" wide. This one is more suitable for one person (obviously from the name!). There's also the Doublenest (the one I have!) that's 9'4" long and 6'2" wide. This one is more suitable for 2, or even 1 if you want more room! Or, if you want lots of room, there's also the DoubleDeluxe hammock which is 9'4" long and 8'4" wide! 

The hammocks even come in a convenient storage bag that is attached to the hammock so you can pack it up when you're done! It packs down super compact and very lightweight (the doublenest packed up weighs 19 oz!) The hammocks also have a 400lb capacity! 

The Eno's do not come with straps, as there are also a variety of straps you can choose from! I personally have the Atlas straps which are 9'1" long and have a lot more loops to hook your hammock into! These also have a weight limit of 400 lb (200 lb a strap!).

The Doublenest is $69.95, $10 more than the Singlenest, but you get more width and also more color options! The Atlas straps are also $29.95 but they are definitely worth it as you can put your hammock basically anywhere! 

REVIEW: 

I personally LOVE my Doublenest Eno! It's made of breathable nylon, so even on super hot days (like today), you still stay pretty cool! It's super easy to get in and out of and very comfortable! My mom has back issues and I got her to get in it today and she thought it was going to be really uncomfortable, but she was super comfy in it! I'm super glad I invested in this and I can't wait for the weather to be better next week when I go back to college from Spring Break and can hang my Eno up on the green and hang with my friends (literally!)

You should see the Campus Green here at KSU when it's a nice day, Eno's EVERYWHERE!

Even though I'm a sophomore does not mean I'm any better at taking college finals! I might also do a Lilly Pulitzer haul since their new Target line is launching on the 19th and I will DEFINITELY be getting some stuff from that!

Busy busy life!

YOU GUYS! Life has been so crazy recently! 

School is hectic. I'm on Spring Break right now (one of the last few schools in the country!) and then I've only got 2 and a half weeks before finals. (AHHH.) My sorority has been doing a lot of events and service projects recently and those have kept me busy as well! Also, work is also another thing keeping me busy as well! Sometimes I think I'll have time for something, but really I won't! 

I'm planning on doing an April favorites video (I've already started my list!) so be on the lookout for that at the end of the month! 

I promise, once school is out, I will be posting more!

NEW CAMERA!

Hey everyone! So, my financial aid refund went in recently and so I've been getting a few things. And today, I bought myself a fancy new CAMERA! 

I haven't had a new camera since I was maybe in middle school so this is a big deal! And, it means I can stop using my crappy webcam camera for my videos! 

I got the Canon SX400 IS from Walmart for $149.00. It's got a ton of cool features on it and it shoots in 720p HD video and it has 30x optical zoom! 

It's a DSLR (but not as big as most!) and it's pretty lightweight and takes really good pictures! Some of the cool features include monochrome pictures, a fish eye type style, and of course, long exposure and shutter speed for taking sparkler pictures! 

So, hopefully when I get a tiny lull in my classes, I'll do a haul video of all the things I've been purchasing and what else I'm going to get with my money!

Hey everyone! So yesterday I went shopping with my mom to get some new clothes for me. We went to Charming Charlie (although, I had just gotten off work so I didn't really go so much as my mom came to me!), Delia's (since they're going out of business and their clothes are on sale!), Hot Topic and the Disney Store. 2014 in Review

Hello everyone! 

We've come to the end (well, almost) of 2014, and so I figured I would reflect on all the things in my life that happened this year! 

• saw and started my obsession with Frozen
• went to my first active retreat with my sorority in Chattanooga
• had another GA snowpocalypse
• found out I made the President's List my fall 2013 semester at KSU
• ....more snow
• had my first college choir concerts
• went on Spring Break with 3 of my friends to Panama City!
• stayed up for 12 hours overnight to help raise money for the American Cancer Society
• saw Iggy Azalea in concert
• got featured with my coworker in a video on Charming Charlie's (my job) instagram!
• turned 19
• saw Fall Out Boy, New Politics, and Paramore in concert
• started my sophomore year in college
• took the ice bucket challenge
• survived my first sorority rush being an active! 
• got a LITTLE!
• was inducted into the National Society for Collegiate Scholors
• saw FROZEN ON ICE
• saw my little get activated into Omega Phi Alpha
• did over 35 hours of community service this semester along with school and work
• bought my first Kate Spade bag with some hard earned money (and a big sale!)
• made some amazing new friends

Busy Holiday Season!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing great and, if you have one, your winter break is going great! 

I finished all of my finals for my third semester in college and I'm pretty happy with my grades! Work has been absolutely INSANE with the amount of customers and sales we've had! I am currently on day 4 of 9 straight days at work, which is actually not too bad, and I get a good paycheck next Friday so I'm definitely gonna be buying myself some after Christmas gifts for a job well done at school! 

The week of Christmas I will be doing OOTW posts on here and possibly a video to be posted on Youtube, as well as filming a December favorites video at the end of the month! I'm also going to be making an end of the year recap video of this year with tons of pictures from this year and I might post that on here so you guys can see what my life is like! 

I'll also be doing a Christmas haul on what I got for Christmas, what I bought myself, and some more stuff my parents are getting me at the beginning of January and such cause they don't have a lot of money for Christmas gifts right now!

Sophomore year of College!

So, today (August 18th) I started my second year of college! I was super nervous but I'm actually really looking forward to what this semester has in store for me! (Although I am still nervous about ALL the work...)

Here's a peek at my school schedule! 

Calculus MWF from 11-12:10
Criminal Procedures MW from 12:30-1:45
General Chemistry MWF from 3-3:50
English 1102 (It's like the second English class, you take 1101 first) T/Thurs from 8-9:15 am

Chorale T/Thurs from 2-3:15 

Then I've got sorority and work on top of all of that! AHHHHH.

I'm also working on an outfit of the week video for this week with all of my outfits for this week at school! That should be up sometime over the weekend!
