Happy Summer Everyone!

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far! Mine has definitely been busy, but it hasn't lacked in fun! 

I went on a road trip adventure with my friends, went on a sisterhood retreat with my music fraternity, had my 22nd birthday, worked lots (& even got a promotion!), and had a great 4th of July! 

Classes are gonna start back for the school districts in a few weeks which will give me a couple weeks before college classes start back up to do some last minute shopping without rushes! My cousin is joining me at KSU this semester & I'm super excited to show him around and get him to fall in love with the school like I have. 

I'm also gonna try to post weekly (I know I said that before, serious this time!) so if you have requests of posts you'd like to see, comment below! Tomorrow when I get home from work I'm gonna try to do a What's in my Purse with my Kavu bag I got for my birthday so I'll film the video and make the blog post and hopefully have that up by the weekend! I'll also be doing a What's in my Backpack for back to school and maybe a Back to School haul as well. I'm gonna try to get back into doing monthly favorite videos/posts too so be on the lookout for those as well as a possible OOTW for the first week of classes!

Hi everyone!

As I type this, it's 11:10pm here in Georgia, but I thought I would update on how life has been.

CRAZY.

I changed my major from Forensic Chemistry to Criminal Justice this semester, quit my Charming Charlie job and got hired at Gymboree, joined a music fraternity (sorority), Sigma Alpha Iota, went to Florida to visit family for Spring Break, and now it's getting close to finals! 

I will try to put content on here weekly if I can, I need to brainstorm some ideas of some posts!

Thanksgiving Break!

Hello everyone! 

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, school and work has kept me REALLY busy! This week is my Thanksgiving break from school and I am so glad that break is here! I still have schoolwork to do, but it's nice to just be able to chill for the most part for a few days. 

Tuesday night I'm going to see Moana with my friend Christina and I'm super stoked! I am soooo excited to see this movie! 

Thursday is Thanksgiving and my dad's niece and her family are coming down from Chicago for the weekend! I, of course, will be working Thanksgiving night (retail probs) but I have an amazing group of co-workers I will be with so I am super stoked. 

Next week when I come back from break will be the last week before finals so I will definitely be too busy to do any updates until after I finish my finals! 

I'll also try to do a Black Friday haul of whatever I can get this weekend in between working! 

I'm going to head to bed so I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a very happy Thanksgiving! 

****AND PLEASE REMEMBER: If you go shopping on Thanksgiving night for Black Friday deals, please don't be condescending to the workers by saying "poor you, having to work on Thanksgiving." You deciding to come out shopping and be away from YOUR family is part of the problem. I would love to be at home watching football with my dad, but because businesses want to make more money, I have to be at work on a holiday. So please be respectful of the retail workers you encounter and do not try and fight. The customer may always "be right," but sometimes you have to accept that you are, in fact, wrong. The workers know what is on sale, what's not, if you can use coupons, if coupons are expired, etc. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS.****

Day in the Life: Friday

Good morning everyone! I'm currently sitting on my bed and eating my breakfast of Little Bites muffins (I know, not the healthiest breakfast!) and I figured I would go ahead and post today's edition of Day in the Life before I have to get ready for class! So, here is my Friday!

Friday:

• 10am: Wake up 
• 10:15-10:30am: Shower
• 11:15am: Usually eat breakfast (cereal, muffins, etc.)
• 11:30am: Dry my hair and start getting ready
• 12:15-12:30pm: Leave for my Biostat class
• 1-1:50pm: Biostat 
• 2pm: Head home and get some lunch before heading to work
• 3:30pm: Leave for my shift at 4!
• 4-9:30pm: Work at Charming Charlie
• 9:30pm: Either pick up food on the way home or head home to eat
• 9:45pm: Eat/make dinner
• 11:30pm-12am: Usually bedtime, sometimes a little later if I don't have to be up early! 

There ya go! Tomorrow is probably going to be pretty boring, just filled with homework and work!

Update + Pura Vida Rep!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I updated! I'm now another year older and slowly working my way to feeling like more of an adult. I recently got some new bedding so I may do a room makeover type post soon (as soon as I clean and get organized cause I'm kind of lazy!) 

Also, I am now a representative for Pura Vida bracelets! If you don't know what that is, it is a company that sells handmade bracelets from Costa Rica. The bracelets are beautiful and all relatively priced! (Most are $4-5 with more intricate ones being a little more expensive!) They have men's, kids, and other accessories as well! 

My favorite part of Pura Vida is their charity collection. They have over 200 bracelets for different charities at $5 a piece and $1 from each bracelet sold goes to that charity! I ordered the Joyful Heart Foundation one as that foundation is one that I am very glad to support. Mariska Hargitay, star of NBC's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, started the charity after receiving fan mail from victims telling her their stories, some for the very first time. The Joyful Heart Foundation helps with bringing an end to domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. They also have a movement entitled No More which is to help end the victim blaming with rape. She is also working with the government to help test thousands of rape kits across the country that are in backlog.

My Lilly for Target Launch Experience!

If you love Lilly Pulitzer and were super excited for the launch, I hope you were online and got what you wanted because it sold out quickly in the stores near me! This is going to be a post all about my experience with the launch of the Lilly for Target collection!

One of my friends who works at Target told me she believed it launched at midnight. (I live on the east coast). So, I anxiously awaited midnight...and nothing. So, I googled it, and saw someone had heard 2am. I assumed EST so I waited and waited. 2am came...nothing. By now, I had been on Twitter along with thousands of others talking about it. I then googled it again and read "between midnight and 2am CST." WHAT.

So, I stayed up until 3. It launched for me some point between 3 and 3:30 I think and I quickly jumped on the chance. The shift dress I wanted was sold out so I got the shorts I wanted and found another shift dress. I went to go to my cart after checking to see if some other stuff I liked were still available... and it would not let me in. I went on Twitter and some people said it was working on mobile, so I went on my phone and had a different item along with my shorts (the shift dress sold out since I couldn't get into my cart), and went to check out...then they crashed the site to fix it. UGH.

So, I anxiously refreshed my phone and my laptop browsers until around 4 or so, when it finally came back up on my laptop. I grabbed my shorts, found a pair of pants still in stock (in the girls size, yay for being small!) and the tank top I wanted that had previously said it was sold out! I finally checked out around 4:15am and got my confirmation to my email! YAY! 

I'm really glad I didn't go to the store but I'm also really sad I couldn't get my shift dress. Looks like I'll be checking eBay for that and/or possibly saving up for a full priced shift dress! 

I really wish that Target would've anticipated a larger group of people because there were a ton of people online and the site kept crashing. I feel like they didn't think it was going to be as big as it was, but they were dead wrong.

But hey, I got 3 things and I cannot WAIT until they come in! I will do a haul post/video when I get them to show you all what I managed to snag! Here's some pictures of the stuff I got though!

College is hard.

"I'MMMM GONNA SWINGGGGG FROM THE CHANDELIERRRR, FROM THE CHANDELIERRRRRR!

I should totally be studying for a Calculus test I have tomorrow. But what am I doing instead? Typing this blog post and listening to Chandelier by Sia on iTunes radio on my phone and also texting my friend Kelly.

"Why aren't you studying?" You may ask.

It's simple: I. Hate. Calculus. Yeah I know, it's my last test before my final and I'm not doing very well in Calc and I should definitely be trying to save my grade. But college is hard. And calculus is hard. And I'm like the worst procrastinator ever. So, I'll study in the morning before my test and hopefully do not completely horrible on my test.

So yeah, I'm gonna probably go to sleep soon and wake up and try to cram a bunch of Calculus knowledge into my head before my test at 11.

I BOUGHT AN ENO! Review and pics!

Hey everyone! So, if you know anyone who's outdoorsy or if you go to college, you've most likely seen an Eno around. Enos are nylon hammocks that you can hang from pretty much anywhere! Some of my sorority sisters have them and I love them, so I bought one for myself! 

There are different kinds of Eno's you can buy. There's the Singlenest, which is 9'4" long and 4'7" wide. This one is more suitable for one person (obviously from the name!). There's also the Doublenest (the one I have!) that's 9'4" long and 6'2" wide. This one is more suitable for 2, or even 1 if you want more room! Or, if you want lots of room, there's also the DoubleDeluxe hammock which is 9'4" long and 8'4" wide! 

The hammocks even come in a convenient storage bag that is attached to the hammock so you can pack it up when you're done! It packs down super compact and very lightweight (the doublenest packed up weighs 19 oz!) The hammocks also have a 400lb capacity! 

The Eno's do not come with straps, as there are also a variety of straps you can choose from! I personally have the Atlas straps which are 9'1" long and have a lot more loops to hook your hammock into! These also have a weight limit of 400 lb (200 lb a strap!).

The Doublenest is $69.95, $10 more than the Singlenest, but you get more width and also more color options! The Atlas straps are also $29.95 but they are definitely worth it as you can put your hammock basically anywhere! 

REVIEW: 

I personally LOVE my Doublenest Eno! It's made of breathable nylon, so even on super hot days (like today), you still stay pretty cool! It's super easy to get in and out of and very comfortable! My mom has back issues and I got her to get in it today and she thought it was going to be really uncomfortable, but she was super comfy in it! I'm super glad I invested in this and I can't wait for the weather to be better next week when I go back to college from Spring Break and can hang my Eno up on the green and hang with my friends (literally!)

So there you go! The Eno is definitely a great investment and if you like to camp or go outdoors, you can even camp in the Eno! They sell a ton of extra camping accessories for it as well! You should see the Campus Green here at KSU when it's a nice day, Eno's EVERYWHERE! 

I'll have my April favorites video uploaded by the beginning of May, so be on the lookout for that later on this month! I might even post about how to survive college finals! Even though I'm a sophomore does not mean I'm any better at taking college finals! I might also do a Lilly Pulitzer haul since their new Target line is launching on the 19th and I will DEFINITELY be getting some stuff from that!

Is it too late for a New Years Resolution?

Hey everyone! 

I'm just randomly sitting here watching Bring It on Lifetime, and I got to thinking about some things I'd like to do in the rest of 2015 and next year in 2016. So, here's my (slightly late) New Year's resolutions!

• go see more Broadway musicals at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta 
• walk (not run) more 5k's
• possibly work my way up to running a 5k! (or at least part of one!)
• go to Playlist Live next year in Orlando and meet my favorite Youtubers
• possibly do the Disney Princess 5k next year!
• or just go back to Disney World in general! 

So there's my random New Year's Resolutions! Did any of you have New Year's Resolutions? Are you still working on them or have you abandoned them? Haha! Or, are you like me and just decided on a New Year's Resolution?

Mini Haul!

Hey everyone! So yesterday I went shopping with my mom to get some new clothes for me. We went to Charming Charlie (although, I had just gotten off work so I didn't really go so much as my mom came to me!), Delia's (since they're going out of business and their clothes are on sale!), Hot Topic and the Disney Store. 2014 in Review

Hello everyone! 

We've come to the end (well, almost) of 2014, and so I figured I would reflect on all the things in my life that happened this year! 

• saw and started my obsession with Frozen
• went to my first active retreat with my sorority in Chattanooga
• had another GA snowpocalypse
• found out I made the President's List my fall 2013 semester at KSU
• ....more snow
• had my first college choir concerts
• went on Spring Break with 3 of my friends to Panama City!
• stayed up for 12 hours overnight to help raise money for the American Cancer Society
• saw Iggy Azalea in concert
• got featured with my coworker in a video on Charming Charlie's (my job) instagram!
• turned 19
• saw Fall Out Boy, New Politics, and Paramore in concert
• started my sophomore year in college
• took the ice bucket challenge
• survived my first sorority rush being an active! 
• got a LITTLE!
• was inducted into the National Society for Collegiate Scholors
• saw FROZEN ON ICE
• saw my little get activated into Omega Phi Alpha
• did over 35 hours of community service this semester along with school and work
• bought my first Kate Spade bag with some hard earned money (and a big sale!)
• made some amazing new friends

Christmas presents haul!

Hey everyone! So this is gonna be a little haul on what I've bought myself for Christmas and for working so hard this past year through school, work, and my sorority! 

First thing I bought was actually on Christmas around 10pm at night. My paycheck went in early, as it normally does, and I decided to get myself a monogram necklace! I was thinking of getting an acrylic one from Knot Just Bracelets on Etsy. As I was thinking about it, I decided a silver one would look better and would go with more than an acrylic one. So, I found one from another store on Etsy that wasn't too expensive!

That picture is an example one of the silver 2 inch monogram necklace I'll be getting soon! Once I get it, I'll make a post about it!

The second thing I got was my Julep box for January! If any of you don't know what Julep is, it's a nail polish/other beauty products brand and they have monthly subscription boxes that you can either get sent to you, a friend, or you can skip if you don't have the money that month! I haven't gotten a Julep box in FOREVER, but when I saw that there was a box that had the plié wand in it, I was SOLD! I also had enough points to get the plié wand creativity kit which includes extra tools for the plié wand! I will also make a new post about that once that comes in! 

Next, today I went to the outlet mall near my house! The first thing I got was a shirt from Zumiez, which, if you don't know what that is, it's like a skate brand store. I bought this shirt from Empyre there for $20! 

I thought it was super cute with the elephant on it and I am currently obsessed with the color on top, the wine/burgundy color!

Lastly, I went to the Kate Spade store to find a purse I had been wanting for a while! The store was 60% off! While they didn't have the one I wanted, they did have the same style but in black (I had wanted the one in hot pink!) So, I got it! It was originally $85 and with the 60% off, it was $34!! I am in LOVE with it and I am so happy that I got it!

My Jeralyn bag is black with black polka dots and the spades interspersed into the bag, with a hot pink inside liner that says 'Kate Spade New York' all over it! It's soooooo cute!

OOTW: Day 7!

Hey everyone! Today was my first day off of work since last Monday (not counting Christmas)! So, mom and I headed out to do a little bit of shopping! I'll show you my recent purchases in my next post, but for now, here's my outfit from today!

OOTW: Day 6... I forgot.

So, today (the 26th) was super busy for me! I woke up, got ready, went to Walmart and Dollar Tree to get some things for my coworkers for Christmas gifts, went home, made their little bags really quickly, stopped and got some food, and then went to work.

I then came home and, as always, immediately changed out of my work clothes. So, as I was sitting and watching Frozen a bit ago, I remembered that I had not done my OOTD picture. Woops.

Here's a little idea of what I was wearing though!

Christmas 2014!

Hi guys! So, here is a little recap of my Christmas! 

Woke up and showered and got ready to go to Christmas breakfast at Waffle House, our tradition! Here was my view while I was waiting on my mom and sister to get ready!

I also noticed a present I had been wanting and was SUPER excited about, you may be able to see it in the picture above the corner of the box for my dad's new grill! 

ELSA BEARRRRRRRRRRR! 

That's right, I got the Elsa bear from Build A Bear for Christmas! Because, what 19 year old doesn't want a Frozen bear for Christmas?! Here's the other stuff I got for Christmas as well! 

I got: my Elsa bear, some brown boots, a new Castle calendar, the Elsa Pop! figure, a new laptop battery, some black flats, a little Frozen journal, a Frozen bag, the Frozen dvd/ blu-ray, a $10 Build A Bear gift card, some fleece lined leggings, the Bath and Body Works Cashmere Glow lotion and body wash, Frozen jelly beans, a Frozen pen, and some Reeses! 

Can you tell I like Frozen? :) 

After presents, we started baking a TON of cookies, made dinner, ate, and now I'm sitting here typing this up and I might watch Frozen! :)

OOTW: Day 5, Christmas Day!

OOTW: Day 4, Christmas Eve!

Hey everyone! I know I'm posting this a day late, but yesterday was super busy for me! I had work from 1 to 7 and then came home and helped make cupcakes to bring to my sister's friend's house for her daughter Haley's birthday and so we could exchange presents! So, I actually had 2 different outfits for Christmas Eve, my work outfit and then the outfit for the present exchange at my sister's friend's!

OOTW: Day 3!

Today (Dec. 23) was day 8 of 9 straight days of work for me and it was a rainy, cold day so I went with something comfortable yet cute! Again, most of my outfit is from Charming Charlie!

OOTW Day 2! (cause I forgot day 1!)

I am a super slacker and forgot to do Day 1 of my Christmas OOTW series! But my outfit was pretty boring for work anyways so it's okay! :)
