Happy Summer Everyone!

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far! Mine has definitely been busy, but it hasn't lacked in fun! 

I went on a road trip adventure with my friends, went on a sisterhood retreat with my music fraternity, had my 22nd birthday, worked lots (& even got a promotion!), and had a great 4th of July! 

Classes are gonna start back for the school districts in a few weeks which will give me a couple weeks before college classes start back up to do some last minute shopping without rushes! My cousin is joining me at KSU this semester & I'm super excited to show him around and get him to fall in love with the school like I have. 

I'm also gonna try to post weekly (I know I said that before, serious this time!) so if you have requests of posts you'd like to see, comment below! Tomorrow when I get home from work I'm gonna try to do a What's in my Purse with my Kavu bag I got for my birthday so I'll film the video and make the blog post and hopefully have that up by the weekend! I'll also be doing a What's in my Backpack for back to school and maybe a Back to School haul as well. I'm gonna try to get back into doing monthly favorite videos/posts too so be on the lookout for those as well as a possible OOTW for the first week of classes!

Thanksgiving Break!

Hello everyone! 

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, school and work has kept me REALLY busy! This week is my Thanksgiving break from school and I am so glad that break is here! I still have schoolwork to do, but it's nice to just be able to chill for the most part for a few days. 

Tuesday night I'm going to see Moana with my friend Christina and I'm super stoked! I am soooo excited to see this movie! 

Thursday is Thanksgiving and my dad's niece and her family are coming down from Chicago for the weekend! I, of course, will be working Thanksgiving night (retail probs) but I have an amazing group of co-workers I will be with so I am super stoked. 

Next week when I come back from break will be the last week before finals so I will definitely be too busy to do any updates until after I finish my finals! 

I'll also try to do a Black Friday haul of whatever I can get this weekend in between working! 

I'm going to head to bed so I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a very happy Thanksgiving! 

****AND PLEASE REMEMBER: If you go shopping on Thanksgiving night for Black Friday deals, please don't be condescending to the workers by saying "poor you, having to work on Thanksgiving." You deciding to come out shopping and be away from YOUR family is part of the problem. I would love to be at home watching football with my dad, but because businesses want to make more money, I have to be at work on a holiday. So please be respectful of the retail workers you encounter and do not try and fight. The customer may always "be right," but sometimes you have to accept that you are, in fact, wrong. The workers know what is on sale, what's not, if you can use coupons, if coupons are expired, etc. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS.****

Day in the Life: Saturday

Hi everyone! Sorry this post is pretty late, (at least it's not tomorrow already!) but you'll see why in my schedule from today! My schedule is a little different today from normal since my work needed me to come in early, but my Saturday schedule is about the same every week! So, here you go! 

Saturday: 

• 10:15-10:30am: Normally about the time I wake up on Saturday, I don't set an alarm!
• 11am: Start working on homework/school work that needs to be done (normally Biostat quizzes and World History discussion questions)
• 11:45am: Breakfast/lunch time! 
• 12pm: Hang out a bit before getting ready for work
• 1pm: Start getting ready for work
• 1:30pm: Leave for work
• 2-9:30pm: My shift for today! (normally I work 4-9:30 but we were short someone today!)
• 9:15-9:30pm: Sometimes we get out a little early so I either head to get food or head home to make dinner
• 9:45pm: Eat/make dinner
• 11:30pm-12am: I usually go to bed the same time frame every night! 

There you go! Tomorrow's is going to be a little different from what it was going to be. I was supposed to work 9-2pm tomorrow but they changed it to 11-4pm since we are starting to open back at our normal time (summer hours are over) and we had a change in opening manager! So, I will try and get my Sunday post done before I head to work, but if not, it will be up tomorrow night! 

I've got some studying to do so I will talk to you guys tomorrow!

Day in the Life: Friday

Good morning everyone! I'm currently sitting on my bed and eating my breakfast of Little Bites muffins (I know, not the healthiest breakfast!) and I figured I would go ahead and post today's edition of Day in the Life before I have to get ready for class! So, here is my Friday!

Friday:

• 10am: Wake up 
• 10:15-10:30am: Shower
• 11:15am: Usually eat breakfast (cereal, muffins, etc.)
• 11:30am: Dry my hair and start getting ready
• 12:15-12:30pm: Leave for my Biostat class
• 1-1:50pm: Biostat 
• 2pm: Head home and get some lunch before heading to work
• 3:30pm: Leave for my shift at 4!
• 4-9:30pm: Work at Charming Charlie
• 9:30pm: Either pick up food on the way home or head home to eat
• 9:45pm: Eat/make dinner
• 11:30pm-12am: Usually bedtime, sometimes a little later if I don't have to be up early! 

There ya go! Tomorrow is probably going to be pretty boring, just filled with homework and work!

Update + Pura Vida Rep!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I updated! I'm now another year older and slowly working my way to feeling like more of an adult. I recently got some new bedding so I may do a room makeover type post soon (as soon as I clean and get organized cause I'm kind of lazy!) 

Also, I am now a representative for Pura Vida bracelets! If you don't know what that is, it is a company that sells handmade bracelets from Costa Rica. The bracelets are beautiful and all relatively priced! (Most are $4-5 with more intricate ones being a little more expensive!) They have men's, kids, and other accessories as well! 

My favorite part of Pura Vida is their charity collection. They have over 200 bracelets for different charities at $5 a piece and $1 from each bracelet sold goes to that charity! I ordered the Joyful Heart Foundation one as that foundation is one that I am very glad to support. Mariska Hargitay, star of NBC's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, started the charity after receiving fan mail from victims telling her their stories, some for the very first time. The Joyful Heart Foundation helps with bringing an end to domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. They also have a movement entitled No More which is to help end the victim blaming with rape. She is also working with the government to help test thousands of rape kits across the country that are in backlog.
